Regime Change
I love my country
Seems ages since I’ve felt it loves us, “We the people”.
“WE THE PEOPLE”; The Preamble to the United States Constitution. Meant to signify that the power of the US government originates from its citizens!
Created in part by the words worn proudly on Lady Liberty.
“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free”
Freedom is anything but free, and I am grateful to each and every family that has sacrificed and served.
Surely you see the injustices of that wealth and freedom not being shared equally by all citizens, some of which are the very same whom have served?
Do we not all drip crimson the same, but do we breathe our final breath the same?
My heartbreak is not with those who have worked hard to earn what they have. But with those subjected to an uneven playing field. Dare I say, no playing field whatsoever.
In our great country, each day prejudice and manipulation are alive and well. The old, people of color, native nations, the ill, and the economically disadvantaged struggle to be heard and survive.
All of us are in danger as freedom of speech is under attack.
Idolatry, the all-mighty dollar grows exponentially displacing the light.
The stealthy March of dictatorship masquerades as American while we board the slaughter lines.
“Our representation is no longer our own”.
Refuse to be silenced, for our great nation belongs to us. Not the power-hungry who consider us nothing more than a resource to fleece and consume.
