For so long, in the shadow of understanding, I centered on I am. While this holds for many of my moments, a higher level has recently revealed itself.
One timeframe you may have visited but lost in the beauty of the experience.
We are.
We struggle to segregate our thought as each person carves a life out of all available resources within our grasp. Nonetheless, our universe adheres closely to its rule, threading many of us in her invisible bond.
Hate and greed rearing their ugly head are only effective for the short term, for the universe is the great equalizer orchestrating us in a common theme for our place in its opera. Short-term only in the life of her ruling, which has little to do with our concept of time. We are mere shooting stars in the ever-expanding theater.
For many lifting others before oneself, seems counterproductive and dangerous to the family unit or self-preservation. Yet if you were to remain still while open-hearted, you would witness those about you who live this mantra out loud each sunrise while gaining a wealth of many types.
I am confident each of you knows or has read of one such individual. Some may be viewed as heroes for a segment in time event like the baker Charles Joughin on the Titanic. Most will focus on his survival. Unaware that he remained on board to hand out bread so none in the lifeboats would perish from starvation.
Others spend their lifetime quietly behind the scenes helping everyone within their sight. I am fortunate to know someone of that nature here on this platform, and in my personal life. They both fascinate and humble me while teaching me to be of a higher grade. They remain focused on the helping hand while shying from the recognition. I can have no higher phrase for these individuals.
On the surface, you may find life in our current time to be nothing more than controlled chaos. I can certainly see how you might feel so when many unjustified and tragic events are happening closer together each day. But I believe there is more than meets the eye, and if you have read scripture, you have been informed of the same.
Even if atheists look at the world with scientific eyes, you have come across things you can’t explain. Is our lack of understanding pure ignorance or something more?
I am neither here to question your belief nor lack of the same. Merely to state, I feel many of us connected in ways not so obvious to see. That life, while chaotic, has a purpose beyond our wants and dreams.
Please consider the Yin and yang, and that kindness costs little.
